What is Bioglitter Sparkle?
Bioglitter Sparkle was the first product created by Bioglitter. It was officially launched in 2016 after many investigations about the increasing microplastics pollution. This was the first glitter in the world proven to have an outstanding high performance in natural, freshwater biodegradation testing.

What is Bioglitter Sparkle made of?
Bioglitter Sparkle core is created from a high-tech, naturally biodegradable cellulose, mostly eucalyptus. This cellulose comes from certified plantations. It also counts with eco-credentials and is certified compostable not only industrially but also in home composting environments. And most important, its structure is marine biodegradation approved.
Bioglitter Sparkle is cosmetic grade glitter and 40% softer than mainstream (plastic) glitter, making it super comfortable on the skin with its silky effect. You can learn more about what it is made of here.
Why choose Bioglitter?
Microplastics pollution is something real; most of it ends up in the soil and our oceans. Marine creatures are eating and absorbing it and it could end up on our meals.
Regular glitter does not only contain plastic but also contains heavy metals, aluminum, ammonium, and more. The biodegradability test for freshwater by TÜV showed that most of the Bioglitter Sparkle had degraded away in just a month.
